Are you or do you know someone who is at least over 50 years old? They might qualify for some senior discounts. Every business has its own requirement, some offers discounts at 50, some 55, some 60 etc, so you want to double-check with each individual business to see if you qualify for it. It doesn’t cost you anything to ask. A lot of times they’re also offered on different days of the week, so you can get discounted items every day when you go out shopping.

Amazon Prime – Do you use Amazon? It’s one of those things that once people sign up for it’s hard to live without. If you are a senior, you might qualify for a 50% discount if you qualify for government assistance, including SSI and SNAP.
Goodwill – Do you like shopping at thrift store? It’s certainly one way to cut down on expenses when you find useful items there with inflation being so high right now. Goodwill offers 25% off to senior citizens (55+) every Monday.

Walgreens – Walgreens is one of the most widely known pharmacy store in the US and many of us get our medication and even some grocery items there. They do offer a 20% discount to seniors over 55 or are an AARP member. Check their website here for information on senior day.

Harris Teeter – Our family is a big fan of Harris Teeter. If you are lucky enough to live close to one, they have all kinds of deals. They offer 5% off for seniors 60 and older every Thursday.

National Parks America the Beautiful Senior Pass – This organization offers $20 annual park pass or $80 lifetime park pass that provides to admittance for over 2,000 different recreation sites. Must be 62+ years old to qualify.
Regal Cinema Movie Tickets and Concession – Regal offers discounted tickets for seniors over 60+ years old. Check with your local theatres. You can also get $3 off popcorn and soda combo when you present your AARP membership card.
SilverSneakers – This app offers free healthy living and fitness classes at over 17,000 fitness locations for members who are over 65+ of select Medicare or other health plans.
