Joint Accounts?
Do you believe in having a joint account with your significant others? My husband and I share everything because we believe that what is mine is his, and what is his is mine. We have a couple of bank accounts and most of the important ones are joint accounts. We both kept the accounts we had before we were married and still use them to pay some of the bills.
We both also have access to each other’s emails and bank accounts that are not joint-account, so we don’t hide anything from each other. Some people may think this is crazy, but we feel this is what it means to be a part of a family. We also use each other’s credit card interchangeably. All the points are shared and used in a way that benefits our family as a whole.
Of course, with a joint account also means we share the lose together as well. The market today was not very nice so we took a bit of a hit in our portfolio. Oh well! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. We are not retiring any time soon so the portfolio has plenty of time to grow.
